24 Hours of Reality is a worldwide event that will share information about climate change. From Tonga to Cape Verde, Mexico City to Alaska, Jakarta to London, people will tell stories about what climate change means to them. The event features a new multimedia presentation created by Al Gore and delivered once per hour for 24 hours, in every time zone around the globe.

The event starts at 8 PM USA Eastern Time.

The obvious question of any big event becomes, is it sustainable?

They say they have made every effort to reduce the event’s environmental impact by using an online viewing portal, which allows a worldwide audience to participate without incurring the carbon emissions associated with travel. They have implemented sustainable event standards which focus on transportation, waste diversion (through recycling and composting), sustainable procurement, production and materials, and green office techniques. By implementing those standards, 24 Hours of Reality says it is doing all that it can to reduce its overall carbon footprint.

I really doubt that there has been implemented sustainable event standards which focus on transportation, waste diversion etc.
BTW: the video looks funny, but still full of tragedy :)
