Sure, this isn't science but neither is The Onion and we link to things from there also - hey, the entire concept of a Cool Links section is to link to things outside science without becoming one of the kookier supposed science blogs groups that mainly ridicule religious people and bash Republicans.

To be fair, just this once we will bash a Democrat.  Not that Pres. Obama needs any more ridicule.   He who could once do no wrong seems to be able to do nothing right and even bashing Republicans isn't working these days, so he's in a pickle.  Take heart, Mr. President; the mid-terms for both Presidents Reagan and Clinton had them losing seats in Congress to the opposition and low approval but they both won two years later.   It will help if you stop doing things like issuing a release to honor a guy who is in a Chinese prison by making it about you:
One year ago, I was humbled to receive the Nobel Peace Prize -- an award that speaks to our highest aspirations, and that has been claimed by giants of history and courageous advocates who have sacrificed for freedom and justice.
Sheesh.   The guy is in a Chinese prison and can't even attend the ceremony.  But Pres. Obama saw the poignancy of that -
I regret that Mr. Liu and his wife were denied the opportunity to attend the ceremony that Michelle and I attended last year.
Okay, we give up - see, I used the word 'we' instead of 'I'.   Pres. Obama will still get the academic vote in 2012 regardless of whether or not he discovers how to use "we" again and uses "I" a lot less, but it won't be because he hasn't tried to screw it up.
