LONDON, August 3, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- sQuid's eMoney cashless payments service is to be made available to 28,000 Secondary School children and potentially 117,000 Primary School children across Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City.
The contract has been awarded to sQuid working in partnership with Cunninghams and CRB, the provider of Impact till systems for schools and is the first eMoney service to be adopted across a whole County School network.
Lisa Griffiths, Operations Manager at Nottinghamshire County Council said We chose the sQuid solution because it gives the Council significant efficiencies and operating cost savings. sQuid eMoney is already proven with Cunninghams Impact system, and together we can embrace a new way of working with parents, pupils and schools for the benefit of everybody. In particular we now have a centrally managed system for school meals across the Region.
We really like the fact that the payment system is specific to each transaction, meaning much reduced administration time and cost as we don't need to manage the parent pupil account. We believe parents will appreciate that too.
Parents of children at Nottinghamshire schools will have sQuid accounts enabling them to top up with money online, view their child's transactions and see what they have paid for and when. This helps support the Council's agenda for providing healthy meals to school children by giving parents online visibility too.
Paying with sQuid is quick, simple and secure. sQuid accounts are topped up online with money and then children pay for small value items, without the need to carry loose change or bring cash to school.
