Green house gas mitigation has become a business and unfortunately different interests clash in this manner. Asking for funds ? Global fund ? Some more offices ? Some more five star conferences with executives traveling first class. Spending lavish money on conferences in 7 star hotels in poor countries. Calling top level CEO , NGO, heads of states and coming to no conclusions has become order of the day.  Such conferences produce no results and increase global polarization of interests only as the real issues are side tracked. Participation from real workers is ignored and its more "official " thing far away from ground realities.

NGOs  are very powerful bodies now and they  make it a point to put things in their own perspective. Why not you call experts in the field to tell the real story. How much deforestation is taking place globally? Poor people use wood for cooking and in developing world  both the meals are cooked on fire wood which is stolen or cut illegally from the forests or no mans land and stoves with poor performance consume huge amount of firewood and generate lot of smoke and create sick women folk with pulmonary diseases. Provide bio-fuel solutions to this sector.

Replacing fossil fuel in transport sector could be important with bio-fuels but around one third of global population uses biomass for cooking without generating any new biomass or growing any trees. In  poor nations biodiversity is being lost at a faster rate and they are the ones facing floods and droughts and  calamities of nature .
Nobody thinks of replacing wood fuel with more efficient stoves or replacing fossil fuel for cooking with renewable energy sources. What we need is to educate the people to do so.

Sooner or later motor industry will develop some alternative fuel because they have money and technologies. There is urgent need to discuss and prevent cutting of forests. Those who are supposed to protect and grow forests often become cause of its destruction due to human greed and those who brave to prevent it are often killed by aggressive destroyers of forests. Many forest guards are killed every year in poor countries.  Grow bio-fuel to use and not cut the forests. Fences for fuel could be one alternative where farmers are encouraged to grow bio-fuel on their fences and use it locally instead of their women going to forests to cut wood legally and illegally. If we can prevent the deforestation the world will have a better environment.
