LONDON, October 11, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Yvan Legris has been appointed as the chief executive officer UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa of the newly formed Aon Hewitt.
The deal bringing Aon and Hewitt together formally closed on Friday (1 October), creating a $4.3 billion organisation which is now the world's leading provider of human capital consulting and outsourcing services.
Yvan Legris was previously president Global Consulting for Hewitt.
Yvan Legris said:
Now that all the procedures and approvals of the deal are completed, I am thrilled to be taking on this leadership role. It was clear that Aon and Hewitt were genuinely complementary organisations and now as a united firm we can provide our clients with a wide range of cost-effective human capital and risk solutions to help them solve their most complex business challenges.
In the UK, mainland Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Aon Hewitt now has more than 5,500 employees in 20 countries, making us an organisation with tremendous breadth and depth of resources. We employ some of the top professionals in the fields of retirement, benefits, investment, HR and reward and we advise clients who range from purely local companies, to some of the world's largest multinationals. Our clients have rewarded us with incredible loyalty and I firmly believe that we are now even better placed to tackle some of the key issues that they face in the coming years.
