- Agile Consulting and Training Expert Offers Pragmatic Approach to Organisational Change; ALM Leader's Management Framework Tracks, Measures and Improves Delivery Processes

Borland Software Corporation (NASDAQ: BORL, http://www.borland.com), the global leader in Open Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and RADTAC (http://www.radtac.co.uk), a leading UK-based IT services organisation focused on IT transformation, today announced a partnership that will provide enterprise customers a complete offering of services and technology to design, implement, support and measure an enterprise Agile transformation.

Also today, Borland introduced Borland Management Solutions (BMS), a software delivery management platform that will enable customers to better orchestrate, measure, predict and improve the performance of their software delivery organisations. Leveraging the Borland Open ALM Framework, BMS plugs into a customer's existing ALM tooling infrastructure, providing an ALM management "cockpit" that gives unprecedented visibility and control over the entire application lifecycle. The momentum Agile is generating in the market has many enterprise IT executives investigating and implementing Agile practices. However, for enterprises to realise the full potential benefits of Agile methods, they need to scale their use of Agile beyond individual projects and teams, rolling it out in a widespread fashion across the organisation. RADTAC pioneered enterprise-wide Agile enablement in the 1990s, developing the PragmaticAgileTM approach to transformation. Having embarked on its own Agile transformation, Borland understands many of the challenges enterprises face when adopting more Agile approaches and developed the Borland Management Solutions to support enterprises through these transitions.

"Smarter organisations seeking to increase their use of Agile often still need to operate in a wider environment alongside less Agile approaches and more traditional ways of working," said Les Oliver, Business Development Director of RADTAC. "Borland's Management Solutions provide a platform that can support this reality, enabling customers to manage, measure and track the performance of both Agile and traditional projects. Our real-world experience and understanding, of integrating and working within these environments have been key to our success, and we believe Borland shares our philosophy towards enterprise transformation, and thus is a natural partner for RADTAC."

Borland TeamFocus, one of three products in the Borland Management Solution, is a project execution environment that supports both Agile and more traditional delivery approaches. It allows Agile teams to plan and execute their Agile projects while gathering key progress metrics that give organisations that are making Agile transitions the ability to monitor and evaluate the performance of their Agile teams.

"Borland's driving mission is to help transform software delivery into a managed and predictable process," said Andy Seager, Vice President of Marketing - EMEA for Borland. "For an increasing number of organisations, adopting more Agile approaches has become part of their efforts to achieve this goal. A transformation to Agile on an enterprise scale is not a one size fits all proposition. RADTAC's enterprise Agile enablement services have helped hundreds of companies with their organisational transformation, and we look forward to supporting these programs with the technology solutions that will support their processes while increasing visibility and control."
