LAS VEGAS, November 19 /PRNewswire/ --

CellPoint Connect AB, manufacturer of the award winning Flamingo Bluetooth headset, has announced that both its nX6000 noise-cancelling Bluetooth headset and upcoming Flamingo Stereo headset have been recognized by the CES Innovation Awards. CellPoint plans to showcase the headsets at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January. CES, the world's largest annual trade show for consumer technology, recognizes a select few exceptionally-designed products each year which can be seen in the Innovations Design and Engineering Awards Showcase at the Sands Expo and Convention Center during International CES.

"Most companies are satisfied with one of their products making the CES Innovation Honoree list," CellPoint's Chairman, Michael Mathiesen said. "To have two of our products from entirely different design lines be placed on the list is outstanding. No other company has a better track record here, and this recognition will certainly assist CellPoint accelerate our growth as we enter 2008."

CellPoint's focus on quality and design has been recognized at CES in the past. In 2005, the company was made an Innovation honoree for its first Flamingo Bluetooth headset. The Flamingo represented a break from traditional Bluetooth headset design and featured the patented EarClick system, individually adaptable to the outer ear, ensuring a new dimension of comfort and secure fit. It is the EarClick system that separated the Flamingo from competitors and made it popular among those seeking a more comfortable Bluetooth headset.

The nX6000 was recognized for its exceptional communication technology, including extreme noise cancellation, combined with an unimposing design. The nX6000 utilizes the same hearing technology as the highly-acclaimed nXZEN(TM) but delivers it in a smaller form factor. The nX6000 demonstrates both continual improvement and innovation in design, as well as application of medical-grade acoustic processing to everyday communications.

CellPoint's other 2008 Honoree, the Flamingo Stereo headset, brings a series of revolutionary features to the world of headsets. Suspended from the ear in a manner similar to jewelry rather than a traditional headset, the Flamingo Stereo breaks free from the prevailing idea of how a headset should look. The clean, minimalist Flamingo comes in a range of colors and textures designed to appeal to a wider and more fashion-conscious audience, demonstrating that functionality can be fashionable. Like the classic Flamingo Bluetooth headsets before it, the Flamingo Stereo features the comfortable EarClick system. With the removable second ear bud, the headset expands into a stereo headset with dedicated music controls and A2DP streaming.

Both headsets will be featured within the expanding CellPoint lineup at CES, January 7-10, 2008 at Booth #72467 at the Sands Convention Center, as well as an advance look for the press at CES Unveiled on January 5th.
