Ventyx(R) today announced a new workshop presented in collaboration with enercity Stadtwerke Hannover AG (one of the 10 largest Stadtwerkes in Germany), who will discuss the successful optimisation of their multi-commodity trading operations.
Scheduled for 18 September, 2008, 13:00-17:00, the workshop will spotlight enercity's Ralf Henze, Head of Trading, and Volker Siedentopp, Manager of Operations. Herr Henze and Siedentopp will present enercity's approach to risk management and demonstrate how enercity utilises a single technology solution for managing trades of all commodities, including power, natural gas and CO2. enercity is one of eight companies to begin trading natural gas in July 2007 when the Exchange (EEX) opened gas trading in Germany. In this workshop enercity will discuss the optimisation of their power and gas portfolio, despite varying demand and sporadic prices. Ventyx VP Mike Muse will discuss the key features of energy trading and risk management (ETRM) technology necessary for effective energy portfolio management. Dinner will be hosted by Ventyx at Restaurant Spago.
