Speaking ahead of the panel discussion, Dr Kulczyk said: This discussion is an important opportunity to highlight the contribution the business community can make in tackling one of the main challenges of our time - climate change. The business community is realising that being green is no longer an option but a fundamental part of the way we do business. For Green Cross International, the way forward involves a Global Solar Fund, aimed at lowering the price of photovoltaic electricity over ten years from 25-30 cents per kWh to below 10 cents per kWh. Our fund is an example of how governments, civil society and industry can work together to achieve a clean-energy future while promoting sustainable economic growth.

Green Cross International was founded in 1993 by Mikhail Gorbachev to shape environmental policy at the highest level. The founder's vision was to create an organisation to tackle environmental issues in full recognition of their relationship to international security and poverty. http://www.gci.ch
