LONDON, December 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Integreon, the global leader in integrated knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) and legal process outsourcing (LPO), today announced the launch of the UK legal industry's first Shared Information Service for law firms and corporate legal departments, with functions including a central enquiries desk, legal and business research, hard copy and journal management, information supplier management and purchasing and other law library services. The company's Bristol-based centre, which opened in February 2009, has been expanded to accommodate the added service range. Its London-based Information Service team will be supporting the onsite requirements for the London offices of the firms.

In addition to Osborne Clarke, Beachcroft LLP, one of the largest national firms in the UK, and TLT LLP, an award-winning national firm, are each finalising a multi-year agreement for Integreon to provide Shared Information Services to the firms. Under the agreement, 11 staff members from Beachcroft and TLT will become Integreon employees and are assured roles at Integreon. These are the first UK law firms to use a Shared Information Service. Integreon is uniquely qualified to provide such a service based on its years of legal industry experience and world-wide recognition as one the top providers of knowledge and legal process outsourcing. Whilst this arrangement is entirely on-shore, Integreon has offshore capability through its service centres in India, The Philippines, China and South Africa, and future clients will be offered the option of entirely on-shore or a blend of on-shore/off-shore support.

Paul Murray, managing partner, Beachcroft said: Information Services are an essential staple of our support to lawyers. The information resources that we buy are a commodity and we hope that we will save some money through this partnership arrangement. More important to us, however, is having specialist providers working with and supporting us in order to provide development opportunities for our own staff and improved services for everyone in the firm.

David Pester, managing partner, TLT said: Clients are demanding greater efficiency from law firms and we're delighted to be at the forefront of this innovative approach to resourcing. Outsourcing the firm's library service to Integreon will help deliver enhanced service and additional cost-efficiencies to TLT clients. We are currently in the process of consulting with staff but it was important to us to include in the agreement that the firm's existing library employees will have guaranteed roles with Integreon.

The shared services model is an idea whose time has come. Integreon, which has provided the necessary financial backing to make it a reality, is now in active discussions with other law firms and corporations about the economic benefits of the innovative approach, which can result in cost savings of 20 to 30 percent compared to traditional in-house based library services, said John Croft, president of global sales, Integreon. We do expect to continue expanding upon our Bristol operations over the coming months and we will also be launching a similar shared services offering for the US.
