- Institutional Investor News Features David Fiske of Lewtan's European Office in Inaugural Publication Honoring the "10 Rising Stars of Securitization"

Lewtan Technologies, Inc., provider of asset-backed securities surveillance data, analytics, software, and content for the global securitization industry, today announced that product marketing manager David Fiske has been named by Institutional Investor News as one of its 10 Rising Stars of Securitization.

The honor showcases up-and-coming executives in the securitization arena who hail from companies around the world. According to the eponymous publication about the winners, issued at this month's American Securitization Forum's ASF 2008 conference in Las Vegas, the individuals selected are poised to help shape the securitization market in the years to come. Nominees were submitted by professionals throughout the securitization industry and judged by Institutional Investor News' editorial staff.

"We were delighted to bring David Fiske on board last year, and clearly we're not the only ones who recognize his special blend of global experience, education, and outlook," said Ned Myers, chief marketing officer for Lewtan. "Lewtan has the largest localized European presence offering content- and technology-based solutions to the structured-finance industry, and David is helping us to increase our European edge and expand into emerging markets."

Lewtan's "Rising Star" Has Worked in Several Countries, Speaks Three Languages

David Fiske works in Lewtan's London office. He is responsible for marketing content- and technology-based solutions to members of the global asset-securitization industry worldwide. Through his work at Lewtan, he has been actively involved with the European Securitisation Forum's response to the European Commission's call for the industry to self-regulate.

"Lewtan's goal is to help its customers -- many of whom are key participants in the securitization industry -- abide by best practices of compliance, for the sake of issuer transparency and investor confidence, and also in the hopes that regulators won't feel obliged to more closely monitor and control asset-backed securities," said Fiske. "Yes, these are challenging times, but I believe the market is on the verge of an upswing, and a decade from now it will be strong, mature, respected, self-regulated, and very profitable."

Before joining Lewtan, Fiske held a number of technology-related positions, including serving as a project manager at Barclays Bank in London, as manager of network infrastructure at JPMorgan Chase in New York, and as a senior system administrator at ABN AMRO, also in New York.

During the 1990s, Fiske, who speaks Russian and Italian in addition to his native English, spent time in Moscow working for the US State Department's Operation Provide Hope, a humanitarian effort to provide excess medical equipment to the former Soviet republics. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; a master's degree in seismic structural engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD.
