- Oncentra(R) RT Viewer* Officially to Launch at ESTRO 2008 in Gothenburg, Sweden, September 14-18 and ASTRO 2008, Boston, USA, September 21-24

VEENENDAAL, Netherlands, September 15 /PRNewswire/ --

Nucletron, a knowledge-based leader in radiation oncology today announced the market release of Oncentra RT Viewer. This unique innovation in treatment planning solutions from Nucletron allows clinicians to review radiotherapy plans that are generated with a wide variety of DICOM-compliant treatment planning systems, in a Windows PC-based environment.

Oncentra RT Viewer makes it possible to review and share treatment planning data, such as DICOM RT Images, RT Structure sets, RT Plans and RT doses, on any computer, making it a powerful tool for clinical consulting and peer-to-peer reviewing. Oncentra RT Viewer therefore is a great alternative for reviewing and sharing treatment planning data with paper hardcopies. This solution allows the digital sharing of plans on the hospital's network, or on any other electronic sharing device.

"Oncentra RT Viewer makes data distribution very easy and efficient. It allows reviewing treatment plans and sharing knowledge with colleagues, anywhere and anytime, ultimately resulting in improving patient care," says Paul van den Biggelaar, Director of New Product Development at Nucletron.

Oncentra RT Viewer will be available for demonstration at ESTRO, Nucletron Booth B02:50 from September 14-18, as well as ASTRO, Nucletron Booth 1602 from September 21-24.

* Oncentra RT Viewer is not currently available for sale in North America, pending regulatory clearance.
