NXP Software focuses on end-user device markets with high growth potential and has expanded significantly in the last 3 years. In 2006, its software was implemented in 100 million devices. This figure grew to 250 million in 2007, before reaching 500 million in 2008. Today, its LifeVibes software lets people capture, edit, manage, share and enjoy multimedia on handsets in all market segments: entry-level, feature and smart phones.

Looking ahead, the company intends to drive further innovation in multimedia and to increase its penetration of the consumer devices market in the Web 2.0 world. It aims to deliver seamless, high quality experiences, allowing people to access and share content, services and connectivity, at home, in the office and on the go.

The mobile phone industry is celebrating its 25th birthday this year, and we share the dynamism that's brought it so fast, so far, since the day we started, says Managing Director NXP Software, Cees Geel.
