Savvis' Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) Application Transport Services (ATS) underwent a rigorous third-party assessment conducted by Cisco, earning designations for Managed TelePresence(TM) Network Connection, Managed MPLS-VPN, Managed Firewall and Managed IDS/IPS Services.

Being designated as Cisco Powered is an honor that recognizes Savvis for our ongoing investment in the tools and processes necessary to provide high-quality network-based managed services, said Dennis Brouwer, vice president, global network solutions at Savvis.

The Managed TelePresence(TM) Network Connection designation is a particularly impressive honor, since it's only granted to global private networks that can provide significant value to enterprises that use video conferencing services, Brouwer said. Being able to communicate via video provides real value and cost savings to companies, especially as they monitor travel expenses and increase their focus on employee productivity.

The Cisco Powered designations not only acknowledge that a managed service provider has invested in industry-leading Cisco solutions, but also provide access to Cisco resources that can be used to envision, build, market and sell managed services.
