LONDON, July 28 /PRNewswire/ --

- Ticketmaster's AccessManager(R) now Installed in Apollo Victoria Theatre, London, Dominion Theatre, London; Edinburgh Playhouse and Palace Theatre, Manchester

Ticketmaster, the world's leading live entertainment ticketing and marketing company, has launched its access control system, AccessManager(R), in four of Live Nation's leading theatres - Apollo Victoria Theatre, London, Dominion Theatre, London; Edinburgh Playhouse and Palace Theatre, Manchester.

AccessManager(R), Ticketmaster's venue access and ticket authentication system, enables these venues to utilise and coordinate all of their ticketing services, providing a complete ticketing solution. The system scans each ticket's unique barcode, validating tickets in real-time, granting entry and detering counterfeiters by identifying invalid tickets and denying access.

John Gibson, Director Theatre and Arts for Ticketmaster UK said: "We are delighted to be working with Live Nation theatres on the installation of our AccessManager(R) system into these premiere theatres, which will offer theatre goers an enhanced ticketing experience. The venues themselves will also benefit from additional management information by way of an extensive suite of reporting options."

All four venues will benefit greatly from the AccessManager(R) system as it enables them to offer TicketFast(R), Ticketmaster's print at home ticketing solution. TicketFast(R) is a quick and convenient way to receive tickets as customers can download and print their own tickets at home immediately after purchase, rather than waiting for them to be posted or spending time queuing at the box office. Each ticket has a unique barcode for security, which is scanned at the venue by front of house staff using a hand held scanner linked to the "real time" sales data of the event.

TicketFast(R) will maximise the opportunity for consumers to purchase tickets on the day of the event providing greater flexibility and increased sale opportunities to shows such as We Will Rock You, currently playing at the Dominion Theatre or Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. The Edinburgh Playhouse is one of the largest theatres in Europe, so security and speed of entry is of paramount importance for the venue. The Manchester Palace Theatre is one of the key regional theatres in the Live Nation network hosting a large number of hugely popular performances with high demand, enabling them to provide a streamlined customer experience.

Further consumer advantages are that lost or stolen tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will be easily replaceable without comprising security issues. The barcode on affected tickets can be invalidated and new tickets issued complete with new barcodes, valid for entry by the AccessManager system. AccessManager(R) also offers venues the ability to offer MobileTicket, Ticketmaster's mobile ticketing service, in the future.

Peter Evans, divisional manager from Live Nation Theatrical, said, "We are very pleased with the professional and efficient way in which Ticketmaster planned and executed the launches of the AccessManager(R) system. This will enable our venues to deliver the highest standard in event experience to all our patrons. With TicketFast(R) offering flexibility and AccessManager ensuring simple and secure entry management, Live Nation is making sure it's theatre venues remain at the forefront of ticketing technology."
