Under the terms of the agreement, weComm will become a Vignette Digital Services Hub partner.

The Vignette Digital Services Hub is a single unified framework that allows organizations to manage and deliver rich multimedia content to any Web-enabled device. This helps these organizations retain customers, reduce content delivery costs and grow revenue by delivering rich consumer experiences that combine content, commerce and community across any device.

Together, Vignette's Next-Generation Web solutions and weComm's wave(TM) On-Demand Mobile Application Platform enables organizations to deliver fast and reliable mobile solutions that are as rich and interactive as advanced Web solutions found on the fixed internet. BSkyB (British Sky Broadcasting) is leveraging both Vignette's Next-Generation Web solution and weComm's wave platform. The Sky Anytime on Mobile application extends customers' TV and broadband experiences to mobile with a solution that includes more than 30 live TV channels, in-video channel information and fast channel switching, interactive portals (sports, news and entertainment), live news and sports tickers, and an interactive tabular mobile TV Guide with one-click Remote Record of home-based Sky+ personal video recorders.

weComm's server-based platform utilises a thin client that integrates with handset features and delivers faster, richer and more interactive experiences than are traditionally experienced with wireless WAP- and browser-based solutions. Applications can include offline use, pushed content and streaming media, transaction integrity, content upload and messaging, and advanced user interfaces.

Vignette's Next Generation Web solutions can be integrated with weComm's wave enabling customers to easily extend a Web solution via a single standards-based interface to more than 500 devices running Java, Symbian, Windows and BlackBerry. Changes in applications are instantly deployed because wave streams applications - as well as content - on-demand to a thin client rather than downloading monolithic applications.
