LONDON, October 14 /PRNewswire/ -- VocaLink, the payment transaction specialist, today announced the appointment of Alan Scutt as UK Managing Director to strengthen the company's relationship with its UK customers and develop new business opportunities.

The move reinforces the company's commitment to expanding and strengthening its senior team with broad business and industry expertise. It follows the recent appointment of Paul Taylor to the new post of Managing Director for Europe.

Alan will be reporting to Martin Wilson, chief commercial officer at VocaLink, who commented, "The rapid growth of our business created the need for a dedicated UK Managing Director. As we expand into a number of international markets we want to ensure that our core UK business continues to receive the highest quality of service. Alan joins VocaLink from Metavante, where he was Senior Vice President. Prior to this, he worked for EFunds Corporation and was responsible for running the eFunds Payment Solution business across EMEA. During this time he led the team that worked with VocaLink on the Faster Payments solution.

Alan brings to VocaLink more than ten years experience in the payments industry and over twenty years UK and international IT industry expertise in sales management and general management positions. He has a successful and consistent track record of growing organisations and winning profitable multi-million pound deals.
