BATH, England, February 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Bullman Investment Management LLP (BIM) is pleased to announce final approval of a two year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the University of Bath, School of Management. The KTP aims to develop BIM's proprietary Investment Risk Profiling System (IRPS). IRPS is a risk analysis tool that is used prior to investment as part of BIM's overall investment process.

Nick Bullman, founder and managing partner at BIM, commented;

A new approach to risk is urgently required following the failure of traditional risk measurement methodologies. Bullman Investment Management's Investment Risk Profiling System offers a new direction for risk analysis, and with academic input from the University of Bath, has the potential to be a groundbreaking approach.

Dr Richard Fairchild, Lecturer in Corporate Finance, University of Bath, School of Management commented:

It has long been recognised that the traditional finance models may not supply practitioners with adequate tools for dealing with market risk, especially in stressed times. Hence, the KTP represents an exciting opportunity to develop and apply cutting-edge theories and models from behavioural and emotional finance to a practical real-world problem facing hedge fund management: that of understanding, quantifying and effectively managing market risk. Hence, the KTP should both further academic knowledge and strengthen the wealth-creating abilities of the hedge fund sector.

Dr Andreas Krause, Lecturer in Finance at the University of Bath, School of Management said:

I am looking forward to working with BIM to further develop their risk profiling system. It will be an excellent opportunity to apply my knowledge of financial markets and risk management to the needs of an investor and thereby having a real impact on their business.
