About Beverly A Brief Bio:

Beverly has more than 40 years of experience in all aspects of environmental sciences and environmental health ranging from planning such as NEPA through nuclear and hazardous chemical operations including emergency preparedness and response/recovery. Her experience includes research, operations, risk assessment, risk management, remediation, waste management and consulting and teaching throughout the environmental health field.

Beverly has served as external examiner, lecturer, advisor, and adjunct professor at a number of universities. Recently she has served as adjunct professor in the College of Health Studies, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Northern New Mexico and ha just accepted appointment to the Environmental Science Program, School of Science and Technology at the American Public University System

Beverly (PierceFalconWoman) is Eastern Cherokee and has continuing interests in Native American conservation practices and the link between these and spiritual principles. She is a founder of Eclectic-TaLa specializing in explorations in art and nature, including ecological R&D, studies of aboriginal spiritual, healing practices, and visual artwork in photographic, pen and ink, watercolor, oil, and mixed media. She is a traditional “wisdom keeper” and indigenously trained healer.

Ramsey is a veteran of DOE, NRC, DOD, DOT and EPA risk assessment and emergency preparedness training and site specific as well as facility specific training at specific DOE and DoD sites, Dr. Ramsey has completed an Independent Study Program in the DHS/FEMA Emergency Management Institute for certification; Continuity of Operations (operating facilities, power plants, IT/Computer Controlled Processing unit operations).

On-line and Short Course completion of several instructional design courses at the University of Maryland, and American Public University System addressed web-design instruction course development, especially for college and university level instruction; APA Style Use in Research Paper preparation and On-Line Teaching (forums, bulletin board uses, communication and dialoging in on-line courses) Methodologies. In addition, she has completed educational curricula from the DOE Emergency Operations Training Academy (EOTA), and numerous courses addressing Emergency Preparedness and Consequence Analysis as well as DOE and LANL Occurrence (including Accident) Investigation and Reporting and Causal Analysis Courses. p>She is certified Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma Champion and championed several yellow-belt-led Process Improvement Projects. In addition, Dr. Ramsey has completed the following management training programs:
