About Brian Recently home after an extended tour overseas supporting the US Army in Southwest Asia, I'm a homeschooling father of four interested in elementary science education and issues of science & society. The closest I've come to working in science was at Harvard University as lab administrator & editorial assistant at a developmental biology lab, where I answered the phones, ordered supplies, and built a web-based transgenic mouse order form, a long, long time ago. One interesting thing I've had the opportunity to do is, before it was transferred to KSC, at GSFC, I toured and touched the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) in the clean room - full bunny suit. In real life, I'm a virtualization/systems engineer, most recently as a defense contractor. Before that I worked on Capitol Hill for a conservative public policy organization for five years.
