About C. Allen
I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota with degrees in Evolutionary Biology and Psychology. I've written two books: Crusade: The Unchecked and Unbalanced Role of Faith in America, and The Smiling Skeptic's Guide to the Universe: Volume One. I'm a life-long science nerd - some might say to obsessive levels.
I could very well be defined as a scientific conservative, although the word "conservative" in common vernacular would refer to my political leanings (which are anything but conservative). I have a fond respect for the scientific method as well as peer review, but at the same time, I'm always open to new ideas, so long as they've passed scientific standards such as Occam's Razor. Sadly, many ideas in science today do not.
