About Graham Left school at 16 and worked at Atomic Energy Research Establishment (AERE) Harwell from 1966 (Laboratory Trainee) until 1985 (Scientific Officer). During most of that time I served with the Heat Transfer & Fluid Flow Service (HTFS) in the successive roles of laboratory assistant, computer programmer, information officer and - finally - assistant to the project manager. In 1985 I moved to the Production Engineering Research Association (PERA) in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, where I worked as an information specialist on government (DTI/BIS)-funded schemes to assist British companies to access overseas science and technology, in roles such as abstractor-indexer, technical magazine editor and website manager. Finally, from 2010 to 2012, I worked as an information specialist at PA Consulting in Nottingham on government (UKTI)-funded schemes promoting international trade and investment.
