About Katie
I am a freelance author with a special interest in science, health, the environment, and children's literature. My goal is to write, excite, and educate, sharing with others the knowledge I've gained from my varied experiences. I have taught science classes to kids, written grant proposals for scientists, classroom materials for science educators, and taken courses in meteorology, geology, biology, chemistry, engineering, computer science and education.
I am a wife, mom, gardener, and folky who enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time at home in beautiful Lawrence, Kansas.
