About Marcus I am a published postdoctoral researcher at NUI Galway, Ireland. My PhD was in glycobiological aspects of infectious disease. I'm interested in all aspects of glycobiology, prokaryotic molecular biology, and host-pathogen interaction, as well as the cutting edge-technologies relevant to these fields. I am passionate about science outreach and communication, having contributed articles to local newspapers in the past. In a world of fake news and the irrelevant, us scientists need to get our heads out of the sand to help people open their eyes to the wonders of nature.
