About mart Born in Arkansas, grew up in Wash. DC, studied mathematical biology, or 'complexity theory' since it ranges from math/logic through physics, chemistry, biology, to cultural evolution. (I mosttly studied random graphs and information theory applied to immunology and the RNA/DNA 'secondary structure problem'). I'm also into music (mostly 'underground' types not played on the radio) and nature (including wilderness, such as himalayas, alaska, mexico, and also appalachian mountains). I also follow politics, ranging from 'genetic influences on political attitudes' (e.g. Alford of Rice U., or Evan Charney of Duke) to right wing radio, npr, cspan, paciifica, anarchistnews, realclimate.org and wattsupwiththat (dualing paradigms over global warming).
