About Martin
Interested in everything and expert in almost nothing despite being a "senior" now (beats being "old.") First love was rockets, so started out majoring in physics. Way too hard, switched to Politics (undergrad) and International Relations (MA.) Recently retired from career as US Federal civil servant, many different positions from international trade to homeland security. Last decade or so reverted back to technology, sort of: IT management.
Still doing a bit of consulting in IT strategy with focus on information access-control (privacy, security, info sharing.) Still love space, sci-fi and technology, and firmly buy into Kurzweil's vision of a rapidly approaching Singularity.
