About Matt
I am a PhD. student in Earth Science at the University of Ottawa and have a BSc.H. in geology. I research the sources and transport of radioactive iodine in the environment, particularly in the Arctic. I also use other isotopes and geochemistry in my work. I am very passionate about geology and have been a mineral and fossil collector for most of my life. I blog about geology at GeoSphere and am heavily involved in science outreach as well.
