Mollie Marr
About Mollie Mollie Marr, BFA, is the Research Coordinator at the Center for Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Bellevue Hospital Center and New York University’s School of Medicine Mollie’s research interests include pediatric and adult emergency medicine, child abuse recognition and prevention, post-traumatic stress disorder, international medicine, public and global health, infectious disease, immunology, and disaster preparedness and mitigation. Currently, Mollie works with the Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network, a federally funded, multi-institution network that conducts research on the prevention and management of acute illness and injuries in children. She is also working on Safer Streets NYC, funded by the State of New York Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, which studies injuries to pedestrians and cyclists struck by motor vehicles. Mollie is especially interested in improving access to health care and preventative medicine around the world and has traveled to the western region of Ghana to teach classes to primary school children on injury prevention and wound care. Mollie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA (Hons.)) from Tisch School of the Arts, NYU, where she studied theatre and double majored in psychology. She is currently completing her Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Studies at Hunter College, and plans to apply to medical school next year.
