About Paolo 73 years old. Degree in physics in 1963 with a thesis on ions mobility in liquid He3 down to 0.35 °K.. After teaching physics for one year I joined the Italian utility for electricity, where I covered the position of Nuclear Engineer at tha Garigliano NPP (a boiling water reactor built by General Electric). After 8 years at the plant I was called in the central offices in Rome, Where, after 4 years I became manager of operations for the 4 Nuclear Power Plants operating at that time in Italy. After Chernobyl, a national referendum forced the shut down of all the power plants. Since then I dealt mainly with reprocessing of irradiated fuel and waste disposal until my retirement in 1998.
