About Paul I was born in a small Minnesota town called Austin. My family (two older brothers and three younger sisters) plus mom and dad moved to Los Angeles, Calif. when I waa a Jr. high schooler. My birth date is Oct. 14, 1933. After high school I began a search for something to strive for so I took a few classes as a freshman in the plant sciences. I was drafted into the army and spent eighteen weeks learning how to run, shoot, and other questionable activities at Ft. Ord in northern California. I didn't have to go to Korea but was sent to a land called Germany for eighteen months from 1953-55. I returned to California and could use the G.I. Bill to help me with my education! I eventually enrolled at San Diego State U. and from there with a teaching credential to help younger people find some better ways to use their skills in high school. I completed masters work in German Literature at the U. of Colorado and a few years later my degree in counseling and guidance at Azizona State U. at Tempe. I returned to high school teaching and counseling until 1972. In 1973 I received a position in teching for the DODDS system in Germany and was active in these schools in Germany until I retired in 1995. I still live here in Germany, in the north , close to the North Sea coastline- far away from California!!
