About Peter Currently working towards a PhD in the Cellular and Molecular Biosciences program at the University of California-Irvine. Working in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, my research focuses on death receptor signaling and its involvement in prostate cancer. However, for this column; I will be utilizing my background as a personal trainer and award-winning competitive bodybuilder. As a graduate student, I have firsthand knowledge of the time demands of the everyday scientist. The goal of this column will be to provide an easy and convenient reference of knowledge and techniques that can be utilized to keep oneself physically healthy....if the body is not functioning efficiently then the mind will follow.
