About Richard I am an autodidact with no formal scientific training. I've been an exterminator for almost 40 years and I publish a blog called Paradigms and Demographics. I’ve written extensively about pesticides, including articles defending neonicotinoids against claims this classification of pesticide is responsible for Colony Collapse Disorder. I've also had the privilege of being involved in helping form policy regarding my industry's affairs with legislators and state regulators in Ohio, serving as a director of the Ohio Pest Management Association three times, from which I received “The Rock” award, which was created for me. I served as a director for Ohio Professional Applicators for Responsible Regulation for many years. I’m a two time past President of the Greater Cleveland Pest Control Association, which awarded me the Tom Evans Award. I’m also a past President of the Summit County Pest Control Association. It’s been an adventure.
