About Suwan Suwan N. Jayasinghe leads the BioPhysics Group, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University College London, UK. Jayasinghe’s group endeavours to thoroughly understand all the sciences associated with the design and development of synthetic tissues mimicking native tissue. This work endevours to contributes to the development of multi-cellular microenvironments undergoing evaulation for repairing, replacing and rejuvenating damaged and/or ageing tissue/organs.

His group also contributes to the study of synthetic reconstructs for the sustained delivery of tailor made therapeutics as a localised system through the development of active arcitectures containing experimental and/or medical cells and/or genes.
