BARCELONA, Spain, February 11 /PRNewswire/ --

MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS -- NeuStar, Inc. (NYSE: NSR) today announced that it is showcasing its Interaction Framework (iF) at Mobile World Congress 2008. iF enables mobile users to manage their identities, profiles, and social interactions within one simple-to-use, integrated, and secure framework based upon a user's network and handset.

NeuStar's iF enables users to access one central point on their mobile phones for a presence-enabled address book, which provides information about a contact's phone number, email addresses, IM addresses, and identities on various websites and social networking sites. iF enables users to set up different identities for different communities, thus enabling the user to "communicate in context."

In addition, NeuStar's iF allows operators to presence-enable and integrate existing mobile services like text, IM, work and social networking, and gaming. As users access new services, operators can integrate these into the framework quickly and easily, giving users faster access to services from one single trusted point on the device and driving increased usage.

With iF, developers can build new services and capabilities or add value to existing services and capabilities, secure in the knowledge that their service can be integrated into a framework that is accessible by more than 300 million mobile users worldwide. NeuStar's existing mobile IM solutions are currently live with more than 31 operators globally, and NeuStar is launching a developer program to support this community.

Allen Scott, general manager of NeuStar Next Generation Messaging, said: "iF is the natural evolution of mobile IM today. NeuStar is developing an advanced communications environment that enables operators to extend their services and launch new ones quickly and easily to end users, thus making the user experience simple and intuitive."

Scott continued: "People have many choices as to how to communicate - but they often unintentionally choose a less-than-suitable method for the recipient. iF aims to create a service that give people control as to who contacts them and when. Simply by looking at his or her mobile phone's contact list, a user will see if a person wants to communicate, and how they would like to do so."

"The value for the mobile industry is immense. We are developing an environment that enables all players to enhance how people interact, and to roll out new mobile services quickly and easily. The iF environment takes the best features of mobile IM, such as presence information, and integrates them into every mobile application. This offers the path to making the Internet experience mobile in the best possible environment for a mobile user."

Working with more than 31 leading operators worldwide -- including Vodafone, 3, Orange, Telecom Italia, Turkcell, and Beeline -- NeuStar has the most field-proven launches of a range of mobile IM services. Building on its success and experience in the market since 1999, NeuStar has developed its pioneering services, working with operators and their users through focus groups, user forums, and research campaigns to provide a compelling service to meet all operators' demands and service models.
