About Ivone Graduated in Medicine at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo, Brazil (1987), Master of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery (1996) and Doctorate in Medicine (2001). Has profisisonal experience in the area of Medicine, with emphasis on Plastic Surgery. Professional experience in cleft surgery, breast reconstruction, cranium trauma, burns and aesthetic procedures, especially in the face, breast and ears. Plastic Surgeon at the private clinic, also works as university teacher and researcher at the Universidade Nove de Julho - UNINOVE. She collaborates at the theme injury and repair, both in experimental and clinical projects. Studies the impact of smoking on healing and skin aging, through experimental models (cellular mechanisms, molecular and tissue oxidative stress) and clinical studies (healthy patients and those with chronic diseases), in order to assess the impact of smoking and studying therapeutic measures to reduce the harmful effects of nicotine on the human skin, especially in patients undergoing procedures in the scope of aesthetic plastic or reconstructive surgery.
