About Kelly I am a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin and I take full advantage of the beer and cheese and ice cream (though, save the brats for the meat eaters!) I have lived in Connecticut, Florida and Pennsylvania and am enjoying the Midwest immensely (if you haven't yet visited Madison - do it!) I earned my Bachelor's in Science - Zoology - from the University of Florida and did a short stint at the University of Pennsylvania before working as a Research Specialist for Penn for close to three years. I am an avid distance runner, both on roads and trails, and it is a huge part of my life. Research-wise - I have studied reproductive endocrinology in fish and toads, molecular sulfide adaptations in a predatory sea worm, muscular dystrophy and viral gene therapy and currently, I am pursuing a PhD studying bacterial cytoskeletal proteins!
