LONDON, May 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Unite, Scotland's largest trade union, has welcomed this afternoon's announcement that an inquiry will take place into the management of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Over the last few weeks, Unite has expressed its concerns about the deterioration of its relations with Scottish Ambulance Service management. The Union believe that management practices have resulted in a culture of bullying and harassment that is to the detriment of staff morale and patient care.
Unite Senior Industrial Officer, Jimmy Farrelly said, "We welcome the moves taken today by the board of the Scottish Ambulance Service which we believe are a direct response to the concerns we have raised.
