Astea International Inc. (Nasdaq: ATEA), the leader in service lifecycle management and mobility solutions, announces the establishment of Astea International Japan Inc., a new subsidiary in Tokyo, Japan. With resources in Tokyo, the company is providing sales, professional services and customer support to leading service organizations in the region. The Japanese subsidiary joins the Company's existing international sales and service locations in the United Kingdom, Holland, and Australia.

On September 25, 2008, the Company issued a press release announcing that it received a US$3 million dollar investment to enhance sales and marketing, customer support, and product development efforts.
