Complete, corrected release follows:

The drive by Turkey's Ministry of Energy Natural Resources to meet Turkey's goals for energy self-sufficiency by 2023 has been steadily gaining pace. The Turkish oil and gas industry has been discussing this issue with their foreign counterparts at events such as Oil Gas Expansion Turkey, a summit which will be held in Ankara from 20-23 September. Lending its partnership to the event is the Turkish Association of Petroleum Geologists (TAPG), and industry heavy-weights like Mehmet Uysal, President CEO of Turkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortakligi (TPAO), Turkey's national oil and gas company, will be sharing their strategies and plans to ensure the goal of self-sufficiency is achieved.

Mr. Uysal will be highlighting TPAO's exploration activities and new expansions during his keynote address. Other distinguished speakers include ministerial representatives driving Turkey's oil and gas initiatives and leading industry stakeholders, including BOTAS, International Energy Agency, IGDAS, International Finance Corporation and Deloitte.

IQPC is pleased to be working in partnership with the Turkish Association of Petroleum Geologists (TAPG) on this important summit, says Symon Rubens, Managing Director of IQPC Middle East. With the involvement of industry leaders such as Mr. Mehmet Uysal of TPAO and Mr. Ismail Bahtiyar of the TAPG, the summit is the ideal meeting place for thought-leaders in the oil and gas sector both in Turkey and globally to share strategies and forge the partnerships which will ultimately lead to the achievement of Turkey's energy goals.
