LONDON, March 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The brother of missing British journalist Michael Dixon, who disappeared in Costa Rica in 2009, has released a charity single called COME HOME, dedicated to Michael Dixon and all those with loved ones missing around the world.

David Dixon: "I would like this song to be a source of hope and inspiration to all those searching for a missing loved one. My family and I have been extremely thankful for all the support we have received throughout this horrible ordeal. We are especially grateful to organizations such as the Lucy Blackman Trust which supports families with missing loved ones, as well as PR Newswire who supported our campaign by advertising our single on their billboard in Times Square: http://flic.kr/p/9pvEDr."

The Help Find Michael Dixon Campaign has so far received support from celebrities Grace Jones, DJ Premier, Pharoahe Monch and Kiss fm DJ Shortee Blitz, as well as politicians Syed Kamall MEP and David Lammy MP.

Michael Dixon walked out of his hotel room in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, on 18 October 2009 and vanished without a trace. His disappearance is just one of the 12 incidents over the past year where a tourist has either gone missing or been murdered in a country that is sometimes referred to as the 'Switzerland of Latin America'. None of these cases has been solved.

Gordon Ramsay, the British celebrity chef, also recently came across some trouble in Costa Rica. He and his film crew were doused in petrol and held at gunpoint while investigating illegal shark fin fishing. During his interview with the Independent he said, "The police came and advised us to leave the country; they said 'if you set one foot in there, they'll shoot you.'"

The release of Come Home is the culmination of David Dixon's one-man campaign to find his older brother and to spotlight the lack of support for families of missing persons abroad.
