READING, England, October 27, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The search commences today, to find Britain's new young digital entrepreneur, with the launch of the DediPower Digital Awards 2011.

DediPower, one of the UK's top 50 fastest growing tech companies* and leading managed and cloud hosting specialists, is looking to reward and develop Britain's best young digital talent, with a prize fund worth over GBP50,000.

Craig Martin, CEO, DediPower, says: We are seeking to help develop top young digital talent in the UK and reward their innovative spirit. This is the second year of the awards, but this year there will be two age categories of winners. The 2010 winner, Stuart Varrall of Fluid Pixel, has gone on to be highly successful and has moved into new expanded premises in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

If you are young and have a great idea, it is often extremely difficult to know where to turn to get your idea off the ground, or how to get the right advice. Part of the rationale for the Awards is to help young would be entrepreneurs with a combination of funding and business mentoring support, commented Martin.

We are delighted to have the full backing of e-skills UK and the support of The Sunday Telegraph and Berkshire Media Group to help promote the Awards and to attract entrants from across Britain.

The DediPower Digital Awards has a prize fund of over GBP50,000 including a cash investment, business mentoring and a year's free Internet hosting for the winners.

2010 Winner, Stuart Varrall of Fluid Pixel Ltd, says:The DediPower award gave me an amazing boost. The publicity alone was worth its weight in gold. Even more valuable is the mentoring and critical business advice I have received from DediPower throughout this year, which has really pushed my mobile phone applications business along at a sustained pace.

The DediPower Digital Awards are open for entries from today, and close on 28th February 2011. The DediPower Young Digital Entrepreneur Award is for people aged between 17 and 24 years. The DediPower Digital Innovation Award is for people aged 25 to 30years. The shortlist of great digital business ideas will be announced in March 2011, with the winner announced in April 2011.
