Harris Stratex Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSTX), the leading independent supplier of turnkey wireless transmission and service assurance solutions, today announced that du, the new integrated telecommunications service provider in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has purchased a centralized service assurance system for its fixed, mobile and converged network based on the NetBoss(R) product suite. NetBoss will provide a comprehensive solution for du's quad-play network, which offers voice, data and video services over a converged fixed and mobile network. The customer configurable NetBoss platform will scale to manage du's telecommunications and data infrastructure as new services are deployed and service coverage extended over the rapidly growing network.

NetBoss XS Service Manager, a flexible, rules-based service management product, will play a vital role in the solution. Providing real-time service impact analysis, NetBoss XS will automatically indicate which services are affected by network events, severity of the service impacts, which customers are affected, and response prioritization. An innovative topology-based correlation and root cause analysis engine will feed filtered alarm information to NetBoss XS, resulting in a powerful integrated resource and service management capability. The total solution will also include NetBoss Executive Dashboard to display web-based business-critical performance indicators to managers and supervisors for continuous service quality awareness.
