- Latest Technology From 3-D Printing Innovator Recognized Alongside 3M, Ford and General Motors

Objet Geometries Ltd. (http://www.2objet.com), the innovation leader in 3-D printing technology, today announced that its revolutionary Connex500(TM) rapid prototyping system has been recognized with the 2008 RadTech USA Emerging Technologies Award, which honors outstanding users of ultraviolet (UV) and electron beam (EB) technologies. Connex500 is the first-ever system enabling the manufacture of 3-D parts using several different materials at the same time. Objet joins several other technology leaders - including 3M, Armstrong, Breit Technologies, DVUV, Ford Motor Company and General Motors - as recipients of this year's award.

"We are delighted with this recognition of our Connex500(TM) system as one of the most significant UV/EB innovations of the past year," said Adina Shorr, CEO of Objet Geometries. "This honor highlights our leadership position in the field of rapid prototyping, which has become a vital tool in product development and manufacturing processes among a diverse range of industries throughout the world."

Objet's Connex500(TM) represents a breakthrough in three-dimensional printing by, for the first time, offering product developers the ability to print parts and assemblies made of several materials with different mechanical and physical properties in a single build process. The system's patented PolyJet Matrix(TM) Technology jets materials in ultra-thin layers, immediately curing each layer with UV light, a process which yields models that closely emulate the look, feel and function of an exceptionally wide variety of end products. In addition, the system allows users to create composite materials that have pre-set combinations of mechanical properties, also a first for the industry. The Connex500(TM) was unveiled in November 2007.

Objet formally received its award on May 6th at the RadTech UV/EB Technology Expo & Conference in Chicago, which is dedicated to fostering educational, technical and scientific advancement in the manufacture and use of UV and EB curable products.
