PARIS, September 22, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- After raising EUR4 million in capital this past June, Oxatis announces the arrival of Philippe Leroy as General Manager. The former head of EBP, Philippe Leroy has demonstrated his talent for strategic development at Microsoft France and EBP in the same start-up and SMB markets that Oxatis targets. Alongside Marc Schillaci, Oxatis founder and CEO, he aims to bolster the company's leading position in the European E-Commerce market, bring his expertise to a structure that will see employee numbers grow from 40 to 100 in the short term and expand the development of its operations with stakeholders and partners in the E-Commerce ecosystem.
Oxatis Initiatives
After a year full of new launches and major announcements, Oxatis raised several million Euros in investment capital in June, the first fundraising of its kind in Europe for an E-Commerce solution provider.
The Company's Goals
From the start in 2001, Oxatis has set its sights on one main goal: making E-Commerce an asset for the economic development of start-ups and SMBs.
To achieve this ambition, Oxatis has addressed the challenge of the revolution in Internet usage. An E-Commerce pioneer, Oxatis is at the heart of an ecosystem that supports all web professions and stakeholders involved in the development of commerce on the Internet. IT systems integration, including management and Internet, affects all companies and all environments.
The Arrival of Philippe Leroy as General Manager
To encourage and develop its ambitious policy of partnerships and growth in the sector, Oxatis announces the arrival of Philippe Leroy to assume the duties of General Manager. With this addition, Oxatis is arming itself with the means to accelerate E-Commerce development and make it a universal standard in the business arena.
After overseeing 300% growth over 10 years at EBP, Philippe Leroy is eager to take this new challenge of democratizing E-Commerce head-on. Accounting software publishers had to address similar challenges in their time (back in the 1980s) before becoming widespread among businesses.
With Philippe Leroy as General Manager and its expected two-fold increase in employee numbers in the short term, Oxatis aims to expand the market for the benefit of all stakeholders by proposing the Oxatis E-Commerce Cloud: a scalable, reliable and open hub enabling all Internet professionals to connect with one another. As Marc Schillaci, Oxatis founder and CEO, puts it: We counting on Philippe to structure and develop Oxatis teams against the backdrop of our very rapid growth. He will lead the management team, contributing his experience, expertise and operational and strategic abilities. We are committed to tackling many projects together and surpassing our own goals. Philippe Leroy adds: I am eager to become fully involved in the E-Commerce market, which offers many challenges. It's an environment that is rich and complex in terms of competition and distribution, with major growth potential in the start-up and SMB markets. It is the next logical step for me, with the addition of a start-up mentality thrown into the bargain!
