LONDON, November 26 /PRNewswire/ --

- Colin Wicks brings over 20 years experience working with NHS customers

Sentillion, the identity and access management (IAM) specialist for the healthcare sector, has today announced the appointment of Colin Wicks as UK Regional Sales Manager to further increase the company's sales and channel operations in the UK.

Colin brings a wealth of healthcare IT experience to Sentillion, having spent over 20 years working for ICL (now Fujitsu Services), where he was responsible for implementing and supporting the IRC Patient Administration System across the UK as well as developing and managing a helpdesk for all of ICL's healthcare products. Since leaving ICL he has held key sales positions with number of value added resellers (VARs), focusing primarily on identity and access management solutions within the public sector market across the UK.

Sentillion's IAM solutions are already deployed at several Trusts across the UK including Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust (GOSH), and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. With the appointment of Colin Wicks, Sentillion is looking to further increase its footprint with NHS Trusts and cater to the market demand for IAM solutions.

I am delighted to be joining Sentillion, as it is the only vendor that is able to deliver both single-sign on and context management solutions, enabling NHS Trusts to fully address their identity and access management concerns, commented Colin Wicks.

There is increasing pressure on the NHS to guarantee the security of patient records and at the same time provision access to the right people quickly and effectively and Sentillion can help trusts with this.

Sentillion is the only company with a complete solution for the healthcare sector and last year created a specialist channel programme to help resellers gain the skills and support that they need to capitalise on the benefits that single sign-on and context management will offer the healthcare market. Sentillion currently has a number of key UK partners including iSoft, a specialist in the healthcare sector and Visionware, a provider of data management solutions and E.Novations, an IT service provider.

We are excited that Colin has joined Sentillion, commented John Gobron, General Manager UK Operations at Sentillion. He has extensive experience working with NHS customers and his work with the National Programme for IT means that he has a great understanding of the identity and access management issues facing many hospitals. This will be of great benefit to both Sentillion and our customers.
