About Kyle Born and raised in the great state of Kansas, my love of plants evolved out of an interest in the agriculture all around me. This lead me to major in Agriculture Biochemistry and minor in Agronomy at Iowa State University. Now, I'm pursuing a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology at Stanford. Not too bad for a rural country boy! Since a lot of people helped me get to this point, I'm hoping to share my passion and excitement by making what I do more accessible. There's no reason to let highfalutin technical jargon get in the way of that! Hope you at least find me entertaining if not informative!
