SELSEY, England, May 4, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Trango (specialists in supporting lone workers and travelers especially but not exclusively in high risk, remote areas of the world) have just released their new GPRS 'Trango Tracking' software and secure web based GIS platform for GPS enabled Blackberry Mobile Phones. It is a very feature rich, world class application which can be easily installed on a Blackberry. It comes with access to a secure GIS platform to view your profile and tracking results. This new software includes:
- The ability to set tracking at any interval you wish (and have on option to switch it off if necessary) - A 'Red Alert' panic alarm that sends your position and opens a voice channel with Trango Operations - An 'Amber Alert' that sends your position to Trango Operations. This can be used in a number of different ways for example to indicate 'concern' and that you require following closely for the next short period and / or can be used to indicate entering buildings / underground where GPS coverage may not be very good. - A count down timer that will automatically send an alert after an interval chosen by you unless cancelled. - An option to allow Trango Ops to covertly dial in to the phone and listen if there is a suspicion that you have been kidnapped / abducted.
Of course it is the 24 hour service and support behind this application that makes the real difference. Different levels of service are available up to and including full use of Trango's Safe Travel System (TSTS) - an enterprise wide safe travel management system integrated with the Global Distribution System (GDS) used by travel agencies. Trango Tracking combined with TSTS sets a new standard in corporate governance and duty of care for lone workers / travelers, especially but not exclusively those in remote high risk areas of the world.
