NEW DELHI, India, May 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the annual success of the global Process Excellence awards programme across the US, Europe, APAC & Australasia, IQPC's PEX Network recently announced the addition of an Indian based Awards programme.

The Process Excellence Awards have been established to honor, recognise and celebrate projects and programmes that truly demonstrate world-class best practices and are judged against a global benchmark for excellence.

This announcement follows significant growth in the PEX Network community from across the Indian region and an increase in entries from Indian owned companies in the global awards categories.

The Indian Awards programme will launch with the 3 most popular global categories:

- Best Process Improvement Programme - Best Process Improvement Project in Service & Transaction - Best Process Improvement Project in Manufacturing

Applications are marked based on the global judging criteria for each award category ensuring that the approach is fully standardised and judged against the international benchmark. Following initial submissions, 3-8 finalists will be selected per category with all shortlisted applicants required to attend a further face-to-face judging round. Face-to-face interviews and the awards ceremony will be hosted on the 22nd September at IQPC's Lean Six Sigma & Process Improvement Summit, India, New Delhi.
