TEL AVIV, September 17 /PRNewswire/ --

- RADWIN's MPTP Systems Transmit VoIP, Data, E-Ticketing & Video Surveillance Information with High-Capacity and Long Range

RADWIN (http://www.radwin.com), a leading provider of wireless broadband solutions, announced that Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has deployed its systems in eight national parks. KWS is in charge of Kenya's national parks, and has deployed RADWIN's Multiple point-to-point (MPtP) systems to connect its headquarters in Nairobi to a number of parks. UUNET Kenya and Adwest were in charge of project deployment.

Dr. Julius Kipng'etich, Kenya Wildlife Services' Director, stated: "We needed a cost-effective, high-capacity solution to link the dispersed national parks to our HQs, and RADWIN's MPtP systems were the perfect answer to our needs. RADWIN's links transfer E-Ticketing information, Safari Card data, Internet and VoIP from the parks to our main office. We also use the systems for transmitting video from the closed circuit televisions (CCTV) that are deployed in the parks' entryways to our offices, enabling us to monitor activities by remote."

Mr. Paul Makobi, General Manager at Adwest, stated: "The quality of RADWIN's PtP and MPtP solutions give us the confidence and assurance of delivering multiple applications over an unlicensed link. This will enable KWS to serve the tourism sector better, and we are proud to be part of the Tourism Sector."

Joseph Oyieke, UUNET's RF Engineer, stated: "RADWIN's MPtP links are highly reliable, robust and extremely easy to deploy. KWS can run multiple applications on these systems because they provide high-quality dedicated bandwidth to each site from one hub site location."

Hanoch Maskalchi, RADWIN's Director of Sales for Africa, said: "Through our partnership with UUNET and Adwest we were able to meet KWS' needs for a reliable, cost-effective network. This is an exciting project and our MPtP systems meet the requirements of customers who need to interconnect multiple sites with high-speed broadband."
