CHENGDU, China, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Chengdu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone announces that on February 1 Tianfu International Community, the first large living area for foreigners in western China, is set to be completed and opened in October 2010. The residential district, designed to meet housing needs of foreigners in Chengdu, will provide world-class services ranging from high-tech offerings such as 3G mobile Internet connectivity to a range of services including a church, Chinese-English bilingual kindergartens and doctors at western-style hospitals.

The 250,000-square-meter district site is 160mu (approximately 106,670 square meters), with a plot ratio of 0.9. A series of high-end international projects such as International Headquarters Business Park, International Shopping Business District and International Convention Center are also being constructed along with Tianfu International Community.

The project, co-designed by Canada's Zeidler Partnership Architects and Japan's Kume Sekkei, demonstrates the architectural features of modernity, internationalization, fashion and environmental conservation, while seeking to meet foreigners' living and cultural needs.

The figures are now still on the rise.
